Born and raised in North London, I began writing short essays in my first year of university as a way of saving all the discoveries I was making about myself and the people I met along the way. Since leaving formal education, writing has been my way of making sense of the world and especially, what makes up my world. You may stumble across late night contemplations on all things film and Tv, since all the best binge sessions happen after 9pm. You may also find me in the early hours of the morning, asking far too many questions about family and identity, all before 10am.
Growing up with an English father and Dominican mother, I am interested in how subcultures, history, and relationships intersect. I write for all of the people who find themselves in the awkward phases of young adult life. If I’m not asking questions I am brewing answers to the ultimate “Who am I?” question, all whilst sipping on a mug of Earl Grey tea.
